All deliveries are carried out by Colmec’s own distribution resources. We are operating all over Sweden, from Kiruna in the North to Ystad in the South, every week year round. Our high delivery capacity, “just in time” is based on the needs of our customers.
In 2012 we had the highest delivery reliability in the industry with 99.2 %!
Our main warehouse is located in Norrköping and has a total storage capacity of about 100,000 truck and bus tires. In addition to this we keep 9 emergency storages around the country in order to stay close to the local market. The emergency storages are staffed by our sales team and delivery normally takes place 24 hours after the order has been placed.
Our emergency storages are located in Umeå, Sandviken, Karlstad, Stockholm, Jönköping, Norrköping, Vellinge, Laholm and Göteborg.
We have 7 local Sales Representatives and 1 Sales Manager around the country. Our Sales Representatives are always available for advice and support and can also help you with urgent deliveries from any of our emergency storages using their covered trailers suitable for transportation of tires. Our sales team can also help with requirements like vehicle fleets measurement, follow up on tire status, in many cases enrollment of casings, information about wheel alignment in the event of mechanical failure, joint meetings with dealers in the market and support at local customer activities.
Since 2001 Colmec has worked with mobile wheel alignment and we continuously expand our resources in order to help our customers and end users to reduce tire and fuel costs. Our 3 Vehicle Technicians are always available for technical support and work across the country. All vehicle technicians have their own mobile equipment and perform mobile wheel alignments as well as adjustment of incorrect wheel axle settings which ultimately leads to minimization of the tire and fuel costs.
Our 8 Tire Technicians, who are part of our Fleet Department, are working throughout Scandinavia and helping our customers with tire status controls, follow-up and recommendations. All Tire Technicians have their own mobile equipment and work with our own tire status program CTMS (Colmec Tire Management System). This results in full control on each tire unit, in the entire fleet. The information is compiled and processed by our CTMS coordinator who follows up the result with the customer, recommends and plans appropriate actions.
Colmec has purposefully invested in creating educational resources for our customers and their employees. We offer customized product training which is planned to be held during two days and which intends to provide basic theoretical and practical knowledge. Our tire school is constantly developing in order to always provide our customers with the latest information and knowledge within all areas.
